We have been busy this past week getting ready for the holidays. The three of us made christmas cookies last week- even Luciana helped (sort of). Over the weekend we went to Oconomowoc to attend Grandpa Welch's church, and to see Carolyn's relatives who live in the area. Luciana wore her Christmas dress, and looked beautiful. Everyone at church was happy to see her. We spent some time visiting with Carolyn's relatives after the service, and then went to spend time with Grandpa and Sue. One highlight was at lunch- we were eating at Applebee's and Luciana was getting a bit fussy- so Carolyn took her to change her diaper. She was in there for quite some time, so Elisa went in to check on them- and there was Luciana, naked on the changing table, and Carolyn with a bewildered look on her face. It turns out Luciana had blown out her diaper! Carolyn managed to save the dress from getting messy, but she was left without an outfit to put on her. Luckily we had one in the car. Then while Carolyn was trying to clean it up, Luciana decided to pee! What a disaster. Elisa went out and got the other outfit, and then all was back to normal. What an adventure babies are.
