March 30th, 2009
The day is finally here! Our appointment was in the afternoon, so we both worked in the morning, and then took off to see the doctor. The appointment was at the hospital, and it took us a few tries to find the office. We found the cardiac floor, the birthing center, and other random hallways until we finally found the correct wing. The appointment went well - they gave us a really nice pregnancy book, answered the few questions that we had, and told us way too much information (good thing it was all written down in a folder too!). Dr. Wendricks-House tried to find a heartbeat, but it was still a little too early to hear. We scheduled our next few months of appointments, and then went down for my blood work. After that we left, and on the way home we called and scheduled our first ultra sound for April 10th. We were a little disappointed that we could not hear a heartbeat, but were assured that at our first ultrasound we would see/hear everything we wanted. Carolyn was so worked up for/from this appointment that she passed out that night at 8:30pm.
